In Xb0x0r baseball action today...

(Jihad Press) BOSTON - After a rally in the top of the eighth gave the Rays hope of knocking off the World Champion Red Sox, another 8 scoreless innings passed before Boston's Friese hit a walk-off double to score Varitek from first with one out in the bottom of the 17th off of Jorge Sosa to put the Boston Red Sox up 4-3 over the visiting Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Keith Foulke picks up the win in an amazing nine innings of relief. Red Sox starter Curt Schilling (0-0, 2.57 ERA) went 7 innings giving up only 2 runs on 4 hits striking out 7 and was on his way to his first victory of the season when reliever Timlin gave up a run to the D-rays in the top of the 8th.

Tampa Bay used six pitchers total Starter Hendrickson (0-0) went 6 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits.

And on that note, Tampa Bay manager James "Sweet Lou" [UPDATE date="20040627"]D******[UPDATE] is hungry. And wants to play a round of golf now.
