Good afternoon Baseball fans!
The San Francisco Giants (2nd in NL West, 63-75) host Dusty Baker and the Chicago Cubs (4th in NL Central, 68-71) for the opener of a four-game series at Pac Bell SBC Park. The Giants have won 7 of their last 10 and as such are (relatively) on fire! At 12 games under .500, they are a mere 6 back of San Diego with 24 to play.
Yes. Magic Number of 31 with 24 to play. I won't go into the mathematics of the Magic Number as smithanticunts are wandering over to the SHoP and I wouldn't want to unnecessarily confuse any of them or their wife-cunts.
Let's just leave you with Nm = 163 - W1 - L2.
Figure it out, Citizen SHoPper! And if you wanna do the Magic Number for teams not in first place, just realize that if that number is more than twice the remaining games, you can no longer rely on real numbers to clinch a playoff berth. And I don't think Commissioner Bud is too keen on imaginary numbers.
