News Flash: The Media is RETARDED

Take a look at the graphs above. They're from the US Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics.


The first one is job growth. The other is unemployment rate. These graphs go back to 1975, and if you go to the site, you can see as far back as 1939 when the statistics appear to begin. First off, look at the downward trend just as President Bush took office. Then look at the time around September 11, 2001. And then look at the numbers since then.


The point is, the media's focus only on this month's numbers is myopic. Nobody is looking at the big picture.
